Christmas Blogging Day 3: Real or Fake Tree?

I’m not sure there is a rule as to whether you should choose one type of tree or another. In my family, it is preferred to have a real tree. My mom would get a real tree, sometimes from a tree ranch where you get to chop it down yourself. At my grandma’s house, we use to a real tree but after the complaints by people who were allergic to them…she switched to fake.

There is just something nice about the “real tree smell” that I enjoy. The freshness and cleanness that rises in the air and the vibrant color can hardly be imitated by a fake tree.

That being said, we typically go tree-crazy and have the real tree in the living room and a fake tree in every other room. We’re extra Christmas-y that way.

What’s your preference? Real or fake? Is it determined by allergies?

Advent Day 3

Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men. And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, to a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.
